Friends,
I worked as a wilderness ranger for three gorgeous summers on the Moose Creek District in northern Idaho. My son is named for the Selway River, which runs through the heart of that wilderness. One summer I kept a notebook with me on the trail, jotting down ideas that I turned into poems during my days off back at the cabin. I wrote 150 poems that summer and threw many of them away. This is one that I kept.
Be well,
Josh
